Frequently asked questions

You may have questions about massage therapy and the services I offer. I've compiled answers to some of the most frequently asked questions to help you prepare for your visit and gain a better understanding of my commitment to your well-being.

Where does Heather Ann treat clients?

I am located in Gibsons, British Columbia, where I provide professional coaching and movement sessions.

My clinical training in massage therapy is currently being conducted under supervision in Sechelt. You can book your session here.

For inquiries regarding session locations and directions, please contact me at (604) 362-8747 or via email at heather.ann.trevorrow@hotmail.com.

What should I wear for my appointment?

Wear whatever feels comfortable to you. You're always in control of how much or how little you undress — treatment can be effective regardless. Draping and comfort are entirely up to you, and I'll follow your lead throughout the session.

What is involved in the assessment process?

Each session starts with a conversation to understand what's going on for you and what you're hoping to get out of treatment. This might include questions about your daily activities, pain levels, or physical limitations — you're welcome to share as much or as little as feels right, and we'll work with whatever you're comfortable telling me. This helps shape a treatment plan that actually fits you, not a one-size-fits-all approach.

What is the cost associated with supervised massage treatment?

During this training period, a session fee of $75.00 will be invoiced through Heather Ann's supervising clinic, rather than directly to her as a student. This fee encompasses the clinical oversight, liability coverage, and the extensive experience that my supervisor contributes to each session. It is important to note that she remains accountable for the care provided, even in instances where I am engaged in hands-on work.

When will Heather Ann become a fully register massage therapist (RMT)?

Heather Ann is presently engaged in supervised clinical training and anticipates undertaking her registration examinations in April 2027. Comprehensive Registered Massage Therapy (RMT) services will commence upon successful completion of the registration process.
